  • This week: Chris Allala is a North Texas-based neo-traditional country artist whose sound draws from the rich tradition of classic honky-tonk, Bakersfield country, and American roots music. Influenced by artists such as Raul Malo, Roy Orbison, and the great country voices of the 1950s through the 1990s, Allala delivers a timeless blend of strong vocals, heartfelt storytelling, and dancehall-ready country music. A lifelong performer, Allala has been playing with bands since the early 1990s and spent time living and performing in Nashville before returning to Texas. Today, he fronts a band that brings an authentic, energetic approach to both classic country favorites and original material, including his recent single, “Miss Lonely.”
